COCKPIT Features

Comprehensive Printing

COCKPIT™ includes a true seamless printing solution that provides high print job compression with universal driver. Print job compression allows connecting remote users while providing them the ability to print over low bandwidth connections. COCKPIT's universal printer is the most reliable solution and requires the minimum client side interaction and resources.

Jetro COCKPIT™ is the only solution that includes a print terminal solution for thin clients. The print terminal is a software agent that can pull print jobs for the thin clients, decompress them and print. The print terminal also provides added values for PC clients. Administrators eliminate the need to install and maintain printer drivers on PC's.

The print terminal centralizes the entire service and printing for them. It is simple to use and maintain and provides a significant competitive advantage.

Secure Remote Access

COCKPIT Secure Connector enables remote users connecting from an unsecured network environment to establish a secure communication channel between the client and the internal restricted COCKPIT™ farm. All communication is transferred via a DMZ component called DMZ Communicator that acts as a "Relay" service. The DMZ communicator communicates using a single IP and Port to the LAN component, called the Secure Connector. The Secure Connector decrypts the incoming traffic and encrypts the outgoing traffic. Only a single IP address and port (i.e. 443) is required from the Internet to the DMZ and from the DMZ to the LAN.

Thin Client Management

The Universal Client Connector enables connections to current thin clients with nothing more than the built in RDP client. This feature leverages the existing thin clients and ensures their usability into the future. The solution includes delivery of a remotely managed desktop, and server load balancing services to assure robust application performance.

Remote Desktop Management

The "Dashboard" delivers a fully managed desktop with application publishing from a Terminal Server. When providing users with a remote desktop, the Dashboard will list the allowed applications on the background of the desktop. The COCKPIT™ Dashboard solves the fundamental problem of providing a desktop, rather than specific applications.

The solution provides load balancing without the need to maintain identical configurations on each Terminal Server. If the primary Terminal Server does not have an installation of the requested application, or if it is running at a high load factor, then a new RDP session will be executed on another server in the farm.

The flexibility with the servers that COCKPIT™ enables is critical to avoid version conflicts and manage situations where the terminal server installations cannot be identical because of performance or security issues. The Dashboard also included an optional web site on the desktop to enable the administrators to push information to the users.

Dual System Management is solved by COCKPIT's ability to manage all application types including local, http, RDP, and ICA. Administrators can lock down the local PC and deliver all applications from COCKPIT™.

Intuitive Administration

The COCKPIT™ administration interface is the easy to use and maintain. View settings easily, make any change with the minimum probability for human mistakes. Simplicity saves valuable administration time and enables deployments for enterprises with limited resources.

Advanced Load Balancing

COCKPIT load balancing is more than just a calculator for the least busy server. The COCKPIT™ load balancing fully exploits all of the built in windows performance monitors, offering the flexibility of more than 100 different counters.

It also defines and calculates the entire server farm state. The COCKPIT™ load balancing enables customized algorithms for the beginning of the day and other peak usage times. COCKPIT™ load balancing optimizes the user experience as well as server resources.
