In Depth Solution Overview
1. User Level, Accidental deletion, Database corruption
Problem
A common day to day IT issue is the accidental loss or corruption of important files, emails and databases. Users require quick and easy access to recent copies.
Solution
Knowall
provides users
and administrators with a convenient
and fast method of data retrieval. We supply a 'file / database
/ email history'. This history can be rolled back to when
required to retrieve lost data simply and effectively.
Knowall can provide: Attached Data Storage, Tandberg Tape Libraries, Microsoft Server, MSSQL/MYSQL Server, MS Exchange Server, Symantec software products and the engineers to implement and support thereafter.
2. Server Level, Server Failure
Problem
Server
or hardware failure, i.e. disk corruption, server
loss etc.
Solution
Knowall's Server Level Data Protection provides for Data Recovery to new or repaired server hardware through the provision of continuous Back Up and server imaging to tape or local attached storage, such as Knowall's 4TB ESATA drive.
This is a fast and reliable solution for retrieving data when actual hardware failure occurs.

3. Office Level, Disaster Recovery
Problem
Office is flooded, fire, etc, resulting in Data needing to be brought back online or recovered from an offsite location or tapes.
Solution A
a) Virtual Server setup
Replicate a live data set of File, Exchange Database and Application Database to an offsite location, whereby data can be quickly made available to users, either from home or from a second site. In this way server hardware can be purchased and be brought back online at new premises, but users can still function with files, email and databases. To service file, email and database replication a Virtual Server environment will be required to be setup to your company's requirements; this can be done for as little as £90 per month.
The major advantage of Virtual Server setup is you will have a duplicate data set, which can be brought online within minutes, rather than waiting for traditional data recovery.
Solution B
b) Offsite Data Backup
Data is backed up offsite in a traditional backup scenario, whereby the data must be extracted from the backup file to a server which will host the data; this server maybe a Virtual Machine that can be brought online as a temporary measure or a new piece of hardware delivered to a temporary site. Knowall can bring online Virtual Servers within 4 hours or often provide pre-configured server hardware overnight (dependent on stock). Servers can be hosted in Knowall's Co-location facility if required.
