Service Components
Management: Knowall Remote Offsite Backup is a fully managed service that provides you with 100% assurance that your data is secure and replicated between a multi site data centre environment. You will no longer have to invest anymore in expensive backup software, tapes, tapestreamers or time to make and check your (daily) backup.
Monitoring: Backup success or failure is validated by our engineers daily. We will alert you by email to any issues that occur with your backups.
Setup: The backup service takes minutes to setup. Install the Knowall backup client on any Server or PC, select the files or databases that require backing up and setup the schedule and your data will be protected. If in doubt, a Knowall engineer is always on hand to guide you through the process and help ensure all your data is protected
Local Copy: You may select to retain a Local Copy of files or databases, these can be backed up to a local USB device or NAS storgae, in addition to backing up all files offsite to a secure data centre.
Retention Policy: During backup, if a deleted or updated file is found, the corresponding file already backed up will be put in the retention area. The retention policy defines how long files inside the retention area will be kept on the backup server before being deleted. The standard retention policy is 30 days but this can be increased.
Snapshot Retention Policy: We can also offer a more advanced retention policy whereby it will take snapshots of all backup files based on the time of the backup job. This can take place on a Weekly, Monthly or Yearly basis for an unlimited time.
Disaster Recovery Service provides Business Continuity
Disaster Recovery is a dedicated server replacement solution that gives you back your working systems within 30 minutes of an operational disaster. The solution works by mirroring and then hosting your operational network offsite in a virtualized environment. If you lose your normal server or network you simply failover to the replacement service by using standard terminal services or VPN connections.
Office Failure: In the event of a complete office failure the personnel reliant on your IT systems can work from any other location to access their files, databases and email, and more importantly your business can continue to operate.
Replicate Data: The Disaster Recovery Service allows replication of your Exchange, SQL, CRM or file serving data and databases to an off site data centre, so in the event of fire, theft, flooding, etc you can minimize your downtime to minutes. All client PCs can quickly and easily be pointed to the off site data location. No need to source new server hardware or wait for new premises.
