Google has officially announced it will sunset the previous generation of Google Analytics known as Universal Analytics.

In our previous post how to move over to Google Analytics 4 – Google had not officially announced any plans to discontinue Universal Analytics. However we now we have a confirmed date – July 2023 to be exact.

Going forward Google Analytics 4 will be the new standard tracking code that allows tracking across multiple streams and apps.

After July 2023 Universal Analytics will no longer capture any data. So we highly suggest making the move over as soon as possible to Google Analytics 4.
