What3words is a new location concept where the world map has been broken up into 3 meter squared tiles and assigned a unique three word phase.
The concept is basically humanising GPS coordinates so they are easier to say and remember. Similar to how a domain name is linked to an IP address. Having a word format is far easier to remember and say than a bunch of digits.
The concept really becomes helpfully when you need to give someone your exact location, maybe at a festival or you live on a farm and need your package deliver to you back door for example. Simply give your What3words tile location for easy navigation.
