Windows 7, which was launched in 2009, has now come to the end of its supported life as of the 14th January 2020. It will not stop working, but it will stop receiving security updates, which will result in your PC becoming more vulnerable to outside threats and cyber criminals, such as ransomware attacks. We saw how dangerous that can be when WannaCry targeted Windows XP users and took over unpatched PCs in the NHS and other places in May 2017.
